The president of the Jérôme Lejeune Foundation, Mr. Jean-Marie Le Méné, and the president of its Delegation in Spain, Dr. Mónica López Barahona, together with the collaborators of the Foundation and the Jérôme Lejeune Institute, communicated with great sadness the death, after a serious illness, this Wednesday May 6, 2020, of Mme. Birthe Lejeune, Vice President of the Jerome Lejeune Foundation, member of the Pontifical Academy for Life and of the Pontifical Council for Health, knight of the French Legion of Honor. Wife of Professor Jérôme Lejeune, she was his great collaborator and the soul of their home for more than 25 years. Tireless, generous and diligent, she has actively participated in the life of the Lejeune Foundation until she was 92 years old.
Her charisma, dedication and complicity have earned herself an important place in all hearts. With the authority of her experience and the magnanimity of her great heart, Mme Lejeune has always been a model and a reference for all those who work in defense of human life.
Mme Lejeune support, recognition, active and generous presence in the One of Us Federation and its events have provided us with a witness of life for the defense of each human life.
Rest in Peace Mme Lejeune and our sincere condolences to the Lejeune Foundation and all its workers and collaborators.
