Die van ons 10e verjaardag in Parijs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Deze zaterdagavond vierde de One of Us Federation haar 10e verjaardag in hartje Parijs. Het evenement, dat werd bijgewoond door pro-life voorvechters uit heel Europa, was een aangrijpende reflectie op de prestaties van de federatie en een inspirerende oproep om door te gaan met het verdedigen van de menselijke waardigheid en het recht op leven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eerbetoon aan toewijding aan het leven<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Een van de hoogtepunten van de avond was de uitreiking van de Een van ons Award<\/strong> naar Jaime burgemeester Oreja<\/strong>Voorzitter van de Stichting NEOS en erevoorzitter van onze federatie. Burgemeester Oreja is een standvastig pleitbezorger van het leven en de menselijke waardigheid en verdediger van de culturele wortels van Europa. Zijn niet aflatende inzet stond centraal in het succes van het Europees burgerinitiatief, dat in 2014 in de hele EU meer dan twee miljoen handtekeningen verzamelde om prenataal leven te beschermen. Bij het aanvaarden van de prijs zei burgemeester Oreja: \"De verdediging van het leven is niet zomaar een zaak; het is een verantwoordelijkheid die de identiteit van Europa bepaalt\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reflecties op het verleden en een visie voor de toekomst<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Voormalig voorzitter van One of Us Marina Casini<\/strong> hield een emotionele toespraak waarin ze herinnerde aan de grondbeginselen van de federatie. Ze benadrukte de centrale rol van de mens in het culturele en politieke leven van Europa. Huidige voorzitter Tonio Borg<\/strong> bevestigde deze visie en benadrukte de noodzaak om waakzaam te blijven bij het verdedigen van de menselijke waardigheid temidden van moderne ethische uitdagingen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Om de tiende verjaardag te vieren Movimento per la Vita<\/strong>, een van de oprichters van One of Us, presenteerde een speciaal voorbereid boek, Een van ons: de persoon in het hart van Europa<\/em>. De publicatie verkent de geschriften van Carlo Casini, oprichter van One of Us, als de filosofische en ethische fundamenten van de pro-life beweging en viert tegelijkertijd de decennialange pleitbezorging van de federatie. Het dient zowel als een herdenking van de inspanningen uit het verleden als een leidraad voor toekomstige initiatieven. Je kunt een voorbeeld aanvragen op ordini@mpv.org.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Een decennium van eenheid en actie<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Sinds haar oprichting is de One of Us Federation uitgegroeid tot een organisatie met meer dan 50 leden, verenigd door de missie om het leven en de menselijke waardigheid te beschermen. De viering van de verjaardag in Parijs was een bewijs van de blijvende toewijding van de federatie en haar centrale rol in de Europese belangenbehartiging. De avond werd afgesloten met een hernieuwde oproep tot solidariteit, waarbij alle aanwezigen eraan herinnerd werden dat de verdediging van het leven een integraal onderdeel is van het behoud van de Europese identiteit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
