The Faculty of Theology at the University of Malta is currently accepting applications for the Master of Arts in Bioethics (opening October 2019). Offered on a part-time basis (evening), the course aims to foster a culture respectful of bioethics and to empower candidates for ethical decision and policy-making relevant to their professional practices.
The M.A. in Bioethics is strongly inter-disciplinary. It encourages research in bioethics and tackles challenging topics such as ethics at the edges of human life; suffering and palliative care; the best interests of the child; ethics and genetics; justice and resource allocation; neuroethics and psychiatry; ethics, law and emerging values in Europe.
The course is covered by the Get Qualified Scheme and is recommended for biomedical and healthcare professionals and administrators, social workers, psychologists, lawyers, philosophers, educators, and pastoral ministers.
