On Sunday, January 20th 2019, the 13th occasion of the French March for Life will take place in Paris, in order to defend the healthcare professional’s right of conscientious objection.
In September 2018, a bill was tabled before the French senate, aiming the suppression of the right for healthcare professionals, doctors, midwives, nurses and medical auxiliaries, to refuse to practice or to take part in an abortion.
This political harassment against the conscientious objection highlights a deep unease in our country: despite the attempts to make abortion a commonplace, there still is an issue of conscience to us. On the eve of the revision of the bioethics law, we need the support of our European partners to promote this message.
We would thus be happy to have you join this young, joyful and determined initiative that is the French March For Life, and also have the pleasure to invite you for lunch (12h00-13h30) at the Fondation Jérôme Lejeune before going to the March (14h00-18h00) together.
Please write back to Osmane and Marion (firstname.lastname@example.org), who will give you further information and help you organise your coming.
