The Community of Madrid, Spain, takes a step forward in the recognition and protection of the unborn by including children during the gestation period as a new member of the family. This recognition of the nasciturus as One of Us comes to attend to a scientific reality: the unborn human being is a human being in its first stage of development and as such, he or she must be protected and recognized by the public authorities and by the society in general .
The new regulations allow the unborn children to be included at the end of the application period, as a help to the family and as a measure to promote birth and support pregnant women and motherhood .
