And all because of the law passed in the Magyar country that says that “pornography and content that represents sexuality for its own purposes or that promotes the deviation of gender identity, gender reassignment and homosexuality will not be made available. of persons under 18 years of age ”.
With these regulations, the government of Viktor Orban aims to protect minors and above all to defend the right of parents to educate their children.
However, since the law became known, the attack against Hungary by other countries and institutions has been enormous. The president of the European Commission, Úrsula von der Leyen has come to assure that “this Hungarian bill is a disgrace”.
The German politician, who considers herself Christian and is the mother of seven children, claimed to have given orders to her responsible European commissioners to “write a letter to the Hungarian authorities expressing our legal concerns before the bill enters into force. “This bill clearly discriminates against people because of their sexual orientation and goes against all the fundamental values of the European Union. This is human dignity, it is equality and it is fundamental human rights. So we will not compromise on these principles, «she said.
Likewise, 14 EU countries, including Spain, have asked to act against Hungary for this law, which they consider to attack the rights of LGTBIs.
However, neither the European Commission nor the countries attacking Hungary have allowed this country to defend itself and explain what the law consists of. In a statement from the government of Hungary they denounced that «the statement of the president of the European Commission is a shame because it is based on false accusations.»
In this way, they pointed out that “the recently adopted Hungarian bill protects the rights of children, guarantees the rights of parents and does not apply to the sexual orientation rights of those over 18 years of age, therefore it does not contain any discriminatory element ”.
In other words, Hungarian law does not interfere with the lifestyle of adults but rather aims to protect minors.
«The statement of the president of the Commission is a disgrace because it publishes a biased political opinion without an impartial investigation carried out previously,» the government statement continued.
For his part, Péter Szijjártó, Hungary’s Foreign Minister, also dismissed all negative opinions and asked critics to read the law in its entirety: «This law is not against any community in Hungary.»

In the same vein, the Hungarian Minister of Justice, Judit Varga, denounced that the countries that attack them “have not even contacted Hungary to clarify the meaning of the words and the true areas of application of the law«.
The minister wanted to recall that those who criticize their law do not take into account that the EU Charter of Human Rights says that it is a right of parents to decide on the education of their children.
