Euthanasia has been approved practically by acclamation in Congress.
Its defenders repeat pompously, and with a display of aggressiveness, that euthanasia is a right. What they don’t say is who is actually going to do it. On paper, the demand for euthanasia comes from a person in full use of his faculties, lucid, with a clear and strong will, who is going to exercise this right with full independence and autonomy. That is, nothing to do with reality. The reality is that the majority of candidates for euthanasia will be seriously ill, elderly, depressed, highly dependent, vulnerable and influenceable. That is the reality that rips the paper to pieces and spoils the festive acclamation of Congress.
