April 2014 hat \"One of Us\", die zweite Europ\u00e4ische B\u00fcrgerinitiative (EBI) in der Geschichte, aber die erste in Bezug auf Unterschriften (2 Millionen) und erreichte L\u00e4nder (20 L\u00e4nder), ihren institutionellen Weg mit der Pr\u00e4sentation ihrer Ideen auf einer \u00f6ffentlichen Anh\u00f6rung im Europ\u00e4ischen Parlament beendet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die Hauptforderung dieser EBI besteht darin, die Finanzierung von Forschungsprojekten zu stoppen, die die Zerst\u00f6rung menschlicher Embryonen beinhalten oder voraussetzen. Ohne diese \u00f6ffentlichen europ\u00e4ischen Investitionen wird die Forschung an menschlichen embryonalen Stammzellen (deren Gewinnung die Zerst\u00f6rung menschlicher Embryonen beinhaltet) wahrscheinlich in Schwierigkeiten geraten.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Als Forscher, die mit Stammzellen arbeiten, wollen wir diese Petition an die Europ\u00e4ische Kommission unterst\u00fctzen, weil wir sie f\u00fcr wissenschaftlich fundiert und ethisch notwendig halten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Drei Gr\u00fcnde erkl\u00e4ren unsere Ablehnung der Forschung mit menschlichen embryonalen Stammzellen:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Es gibt noch andere M\u00f6glichkeiten:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jede Gewebeart im menschlichen K\u00f6rper enth\u00e4lt einige Stammzellen, deren Aufgabe es ist, die L\u00fccken von Zellen zu f\u00fcllen, die auf nat\u00fcrliche Weise absterben. Die Forschung \u00fcber diese Art von Stammzellen, genannt <strong>adulte Stammzellen<\/strong>haben bereits eine gro\u00dfe Anzahl guter Ergebnisse erzielt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Im Jahr 2006 entdeckte Professor Shinya Yamanaka eine neue Methode, um adulte Stammzellen in \"induzierte pluripotente Stammzellen\" umzuwandeln, die den embryonalen Stammzellen entsprechen.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Diese fabelhafte Entdeckung wurde 2012 mit dem Nobelpreis f\u00fcr Physiologie oder Medizin ausgezeichnet, weil<strong> induzierte pluripotente Stammzellen<\/strong> verf\u00fcgt \u00fcber das gesamte Potenzial embryonaler Stammzellen mit einigen entscheidenden biologischen, wirtschaftlichen und ethischen Vorteilen wie der M\u00f6glichkeit, sie auf den Patienten abzustimmen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Diese beiden M\u00f6glichkeiten - adulte Stammzellen und induzierte pluripotente Stammzellen - sind wesentlich wirksamer:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die nationalen Rechtsvorschriften, die die Forschung mit embryonalen Stammzellen zulassen, tun dies in der Regel unter der Bedingung, dass es keine anderen \"alternativen Methoden mit \u00e4hnlicher Wirksamkeit\" gibt. Wir haben bereits gezeigt, dass es andere Methoden gibt. Was wissen wir \u00fcber die Wirksamkeit dieser Methoden?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nach 15 Jahren Forschung wurde das Weltregister f\u00fcr klinische Studien (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.clinicaltrials.gov\/\">www.clinicaltrials.gov<\/a>) haben 29 klinische Studien zu Arzneimitteln oder medizinischen Verfahren nachgewiesen, die auf die Forschung mit embryonalen Stammzellen zur\u00fcckgehen. Auf der anderen Seite zeigt dieselbe Datenbank 4.754 klinische Studien mit adulten Stammzellen und 135 mit induzierten pluripotenten Stammzellen, obwohl diese Technik noch recht neu ist. Die Daten scheinen offensichtlich zu sein.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Der Abbau von ethischen Standards ist eine gef\u00e4hrliche Bewegung:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die Zerst\u00f6rung menschlicher Embryonen darf niemals zur Normalit\u00e4t werden (und schon gar nicht zu einem industrialisierten Verfahren), und sie ist unvermeidlich, wenn wir unsere Forschungen mit einem medizinischen Verfahren in gro\u00dfem Ma\u00dfstab abschlie\u00dfen wollen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die Investitionen der Europ\u00e4ischen Union in Forschungsprojekte mit ethischen Mindeststandards erh\u00f6hen das Risiko, einen Wettlauf um Profite auf Kosten anderer sehr wichtiger Werte zu starten, wie z.B. der Achtung des menschlichen Lebens oder der Umweltbelange.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Heutzutage geht der Trend in der Europ\u00e4ischen Union dahin, hohe ethische Standards in der Forschung zu f\u00f6rdern, um das Risiko f\u00fcr die Patienten zu verringern, aber auch um die f\u00fcr klinische Versuche verwendeten Tiere ethisch zu behandeln. In diesem Zusammenhang ist es seltsam, dass die Europ\u00e4ische Union die Finanzierung einiger Forschungen akzeptiert, die die systematische Zerst\u00f6rung menschlicher Embryonen beinhalten, die \"One of US\" sind.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Am 10.
